Finished my first Cloth Paper Scissor swap and it's ready to mail on Monday. Turned out well, not exactly as I thought it would but still close to what I imagined. Wish I could have found some crystal or glass beads in the shape of snowflakes rather than plastic. But it is has the feel and colors that I was going for. I'm excited and have another idea that's brewing inside my brain at the moment. If it turns out as well as this one did I'll be thrilled. Fun to mix paint, papers, poems and such. Great fun and inspiring, can't wait to work on the next thing.
Also had some "baking" today too. Made some No-Bake Peanut-Butter Fudge Cookies. Yummy, yum, yum! A recipe from my mother-in-law that I've been trying to get to turn out as well as hers. Finally did it. Nice birthday treat, especially with super rich double chocolate ice cream. Fudgy, chocolate-y, rich. Yep, perfect for a birthday. DH and kids made some delicious Honey-Mustard Grilled Chicken with summer veggies for dinner and the cookies and ice cream were for dessert. Time for a bike ride to burn some of it off.
Also working on a cute mini album in the shape of a house. Have a lovely stash of items to put on the pages. Great mix of bling, papers, metal, and other items. I've also tried my hand at some of the cute flowers. Stacked, coiled, layered. Sweet little flowers to add as cute little accents. Not sure what I'll do with the album. I've thought about putting some of the one's I've completed but have not done anything with on Etsy. We'll have to see. I'd love to see someone use the lovely little creations I've made that I just haven't gotten to use. I have so many mini albums that I've made for classes that did not happen or one's that I just had an itch to create and haven't used. I'll have to check into what it would take to put some of them up to sell. Not sure if anyone would be interested or not but all I can do is try.
