The rhubarb is going crazy, again. I have so much that I'm running out of stuff to make with it. The kids and I picked a bunch yesterday and made rhubarb crisp. Yummy!! Tart, sweet, crunchy, sticky. One of my fav rhubarb things to bake. This afternoon I'm going to be cooking up some Cinnamon-Rhubarb Syrup to enjoy on pancakes, ice cream and anything else that needs a little extra yum.
It has been gorgeous outside recently so the kids and I have been enjoying the sunshine. Bike rides, walks around the block, and a few attempts at gardening. I'm hoping to get some plants in the ground shortly, should be warm enough at night by now. Lettuce, tomatoes, green beans, pumpkins, summer squash, butternut squash, green peppers, and a bunch of other stuff to plant. Yum, yum yum!
Enjoying some fresh ground coffee lately. Smooth, robust, delicious. DH has to have coffee as soon as he wakes up otherwise he can't function. I like a cup or two but he has almost an entire pot everyday. I have to say that I love the smell of freshly ground and freshly brewed coffee. This coffee almost meets the expectation of that lovely smell.
Hoping that my DB can get my car into the shop to be fixed soon. I've got to drive DH's van until my car is fixed. Ugh! Can't wait to get my car back on the road. Hate not having my own vehicle and having to share DH's.
Oh man, rhubarb crisp sounds heavenly right now!!! My mom used to make that for us all the time when we were kids. Yummy. Hope you get your car back real soon!

Still working on the car situation, Lisa. But I'm making more rhubarb crisp since DH took half the batch to work. :)
