Back online after a long stretch this time. Really missed it all too. Didn't really have time or funds for all of it so somethings took a temporary break. But now I'm back, again.
Ran across my "current" journal the other day, stuffed in at the bottom of my sock drawer. After looking at the last dates I wrote in it I realized I haven't bothered since finding "blogging". I'm amazed that my daily hand-written ramblings actually went by the wayside once this more techno form entered my life. Well, I actually managed to scribble a bit last night. Just doesn't feel the same anymore, possibly because I lost my favorite fountain pen and because blogging is more appealing at the moment. The very reason why I started back up yet again.
Had an interesting Mother's Day. Lunch and time with the family - Mom, Dad, brother, sister-in-law, niece, uncle, grandmother, kids, hubby and me. Was relaxed and fun, nice to spend time with everyone. Mom and Grandma really liked the photos of the kids and the frames. Thought they would. My photo taking abilities are getting better and I was rather proud of the photo. Captured how alike DD and DS are and what fantastic eyes they both have. The rest of the day didn't go anything like I had planned, but that is more typical than not. Wanted to get some scrappin' done but ended up taking care of kids while DH did yard work. That didn't seem right then and it still doesn't seem right now. But I guess I'll get over it. Did manage to get one layout almost completed last night after kiddies went to bed.
Have a ton of photos being developed at the moment. Should be some great ones to use for layouts. Love that DD and DS not only take lovely photos but enjoy having their photos taken. Makes it easier to get some good shots.
DD has dance recital this week. Dress rehersal when well, she loves dancing on stage. Very cute costume, dance and song. She can't wait to be up on stage again. Part of me is so glad that she enjoys it all but another part of me wonders what I've gotten myself into. I remember how involved I was with dance for years and what a commitment it was for my parents. I get the feeling that I'll be in the same boat in a few years, once she can take more classes and even get into competition. We'll just have to wait to see how it all goes.
