Six Days Until ...

I'm done working at my current job/location!!  I was pretty upset when I found out that my contract was being terminated early and I (and a co-worker) were being replaced by just one engineer from within the company we are contracted to.  But then I realized that I will get to work on new things, different things, something other than the same stuff I've been working on for the last 3 years consistantly (and mostly for the last 10-12 years).  Then I started feeling better about the whole situation.  Then the new engineer came in and my co-worker and I started to train her.  I wish her luck and am doing my best to get her ready for when we won't be here.  But I'm excited that there is only SIX days left.  Only 6!!  Then it is on to better things.  Can't wait!

Back to the regularly scheduled "all about the pregnant stuff" now. :)

Had an ultrasound last week and everything is looking good so far.  Baby was really active - moving, kicking and giving the techs a hard time while they were trying to get the info they needed.  Got some great photos to bring home too.  Lucky for me an old neighbor was helping the 'in-training' tech so I got more photos than is usually allowed. :)  There is even one where baby is waving just for DD - they added "Hi sister" to the photo.  Too cute.  DD carries it around and shows it off to whoever will look at it.

I'm starting to feel like I'm getting my energy back too.  I like to get to bed early but I'm not so tired during the day and the queasies are gone.  I've had a little cold for the last few days - sniffles, sore ears, sore throat and such.  But I feel much better today, though I actually sound worse.  Hoping it will be all gone by the weekend.  Working at Memory Lane for the crops on Friday and Saturday.  Will need every extra bit of energy for that.

Is it Nap Time yet???

I've hit the "TIRED" part of my day.  I think I've finally moved on from the "always exhausted" to the "semi-tired" part of pregnancy.  At least I only feel tired from around 11am until about 3pm.  And the queasies are just around 9pm rather than from the moment I wake up until I finally fall asleep.  The second trimester is looking pretty decent so far.

Yesterday's OB appointment went pretty well - blood pressure good, blood sugar good, baby's heartbeat at 150, weight stayed same.  But I'm being sent for an ultrasound today due to spotting.  They want to know where the placenta is located at and just get a better feel for why I keep spotting, even though I did the same thing with DD.  So I'm drinking all my fluids and my bladder doesn't explode before my appointment today. :)

Tried to work on some scrappin' stuff over the weekend and the last few evening but just can't seem to fit it all in.  I put DD to bed and fall asleep myself.  I've got one project to do for Memory Lane and a bunch of layouts I want to work on myself.  Really need to take more pictures here soon too.  Would love some of pregnant me in maternity clothing. :)  And DD is getting to be such a young lady at 3 years old that I need to capture more of those moments.

Let's Just Say It ...

Plus Size Maternity Clothes ... are limited, mostly unattractive and barely exist.

Good greif!  You would think that those of us that are over a size 12 just should never get pregnant.  At least based on the maternity clothing market.  This is where "Large" is a size 10!  At least I did find two tops that aren't terribly frumpy, uninspired or just plain ugly.  I'll get a few more over the next few months, as long as I can find them.  Pants are another matter entirely.  I'm at the point that I'll just have to wear the stretchy and/or knit pants since the maternity just don't fit at all.  The "correct" size is made for someone alot taller than I am (just imagine plus size and petite in height).

Feeling pretty well at the moment.  Last week's OB visit went well - heard the baby's heartbeat (150 bpm), blood pressure is good, blood sugar is okay, weight gain is good.  Work is fine, having too much fun at the moment.  Training and doing minor updates with the new girl.  Pretty relaxed and easy going at the moment.  Have another OB appointment tomorrow, the standard weekly visit.  Gotta fax my bp and glucose levels to my family doc tomorrow too.  I'm being watched like a hawk for this pregnancy.

Got my hair cut on Saturday and just LOVE it.  Easy to style in a few different ways.  It's fresh, fun and trendy (yes, I've gone trendy).  Love how new clothes, new make-up and a new hair do can make you feel so different.  Gotta say that I feel more confident and a little sassy now.  And so far everyone has really like the new hair and such too.  Fun, fun, fun!

Better and better

Last week was pretty rough but I've moved on to better things.  I've got a much better attitude towards work, though others might not see it that way. :)  I feel much better and am taking better care of myself.  I can actually say that I am back to my happy, usually optomistic self.

God does work in mysterious ways.  I've always believed that He puts people and opportunities in our paths when we need them.  Some new people and a great opportunity have crossed my path recently and I'm thrilled.  This situation is probably one of the reasons I've found my balance again.  I know there is more out there than my current work situation and I can move on from here.

Got a dr.s appointment tomorrow with the OB.  Should be better than last week's.  I'm looking forward to hearing the baby's heartbeat and getting a belly measure this time too.

Life is good and I'm so thankful.

Not A Good Day

Yesterday was not a good day.  Seems like life is just getting to be a bit much for me to handle at the moment.  Stress is causing some problems for me at the moment.  Started bleeding while at work and quickly called my OB.  Was told to come into the office immediately and have someone else drive.  So I call DH up in tears and tell him to come get me and take me to the dr.s because I've started bleeding.  DD, DH & I rode to the OB's with me in tears, DH holding my hand and DD asking why mommy is crying.  I prayed and finally pulled myself together.  I was shown into the dr.s right away.  Got weighed - down 6 pounds.  My blood pressure was high.  Dr. used the dopplar and did hear the baby's heartbeat - 140 bpm, which is good.  So he said to go home, rest, relax and let go of the stress.  I was also told that I need to eat properly (including amounts), get enough water and get enough sleep.  If I kept bleeding, felt light headed, or got cramps then I need to go to the emergency room.

So today I'm trying to let go of the stress.  I'm trying to relax/rest while still working.  I'm trying to get in all the food I need.  I'm trying to get all the water I need.  It certainly isn't easy at the moment though.  I'm trying to "let go and let God" but it is so easy to say and so hard to do.  But I will because my health, the baby's health and my family need me to do it.  So keep me in your thoughts and prayers, I'm gonna need all the extra help I can get.
